Understanding the task and setting up a strategy

How do we create a website?
According to a plan and step by step! Before starting to develop a web presence for a company, you need to 1. determine the target group, 2. what the web presence should achieve and 3. what functionality the presence must have. Then you need to check out what your main competitors' websites look like - after all, you want your web presence to stand out from them.

Creating a design

Next, we focus on the appearance of your web presence: The website must be clear and match the company's visual identity. Additionally, the design should be modern yet timeless, so it doesn't look outdated in just a couple of years. Based on the design, we build a prototype—this allows you to see how the web presence will look in the end and what functions are planned.

Writing the code

Next comes the most challenging phase – the technical development phase. During this phase, we write the program code and conduct functionality tests. Of course, we strive to work quickly, but creating program code is generally time-consuming. Rushing through the coding process wouldn't help, as it would only extend the debugging phase later on.

Integrating applications

In the subsequent phase, we integrate third-party applications and services that are necessary or beneficial for the functionality of your web presence. These could be applications for customer management, business management, payment systems, or a route planning function. The goal is to make your web presence as attractive as possible for visitors, without having to reinvent the wheel each time.

Testing and debugging

Subsequently, we test the web presence for full functionality under load and for security (vulnerability to hacking attempts, data leaks). Security cannot be overemphasized, especially when payment transactions are involved. We utilize cutting-edge testing technologies to ensure your website is stable and secure. And if we finally classify it as safe, then it really is safe!

Publishing the website and optional support

Before the final publication of the web presence, we conduct final tests, simulating all forms of user activity. In doing so, we focus on maximum user-friendliness, the logic of processes, and the correctness of error messages. If necessary, further changes are made in this phase. After the final tests, we upload the website to the server and integrate the domain into our hosting. With that, the project is completed for us — at least as far as web development is concerned. We then offer technical support as needed. As an option, you can also book permanent website support as a service package.

How much does web development cost?

The cost of developing a web presence depends on numerous factors – for example, the type of presence (landing page, homepage, or web shop?), the intended number of pages, and of course, the type and number of desired features. Designing a simple landing page is naturally much less complex than developing a complete platform with registration/login functionality, user accounts, messaging service, etc. Don't be fooled by seemingly cheap package deals; they always come with a lot of fine print. If you want an overview of the costs, tell us your requirements – we will then provide you with a non-binding cost estimate.

How long does Nolorem take to develop a website?

The time required to develop a web presence depends on the nature of the project and therefore cannot be predicted across the board. Rule of thumb: It always takes longer than you think! The minimum duration is a few weeks (for simply structured websites), but extensive projects can take more than a year. Additionally, the provision of content is an important factor: For example, if the image photos to be shown on a website have not yet been taken, this must of course be taken into account. We strive to provide you with a realistic timeline in advance.

Do I get a guarantee for a bug-free experience?

Yes, you get a guarantee – it is valid for 180 days (from publication). During this period, we will fix any errors and resolve issues related to the website we developed at no additional cost (provided the errors are not due to changes made by others or unauthorized modifications). Errors that occur after the warranty period will be fixed for a fee. However, you can enter into a website support agreement with us – then all maintenance and repair work will be included.

Does Nolorem also handle partial projects?

Yes, we are open to partial projects and collaborative ventures. So, if you would like to commission a web designer to design your website, we won’t create our own design, but will work with the design you provide. You can also have your entire web presence developed externally and only commission us for search engine optimization (SEO). Just contact us, we’re ready for (almost) everything!
